Ministries and Support Groups
If you are grieving the loss of a loved one
Growing Through Grief
Growing Through Grief is a five-week series offered four times a year for those grieving the loss of a loved one. This group explores what grief looks like, shares stories and finds hope for moving forward. Sessions are facilitated by our pastoral staff, Rev. Melanie Hardison and Rev. Sally Wright, and are held at Village Church Mission Campus. Open to all members of the community. Series is free, but registration is required. Contact Linda Alley. Faith & Grief Support Gatherings
Faith & Grief meetings are offered noon-1 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month in Friendship Hall at our Mission Campus. Register or learn more. Professional Counseling
There are some challenges in life that are just too big. When those moments come, we need extra help. In addition to our pastors who are available for limited, brief counseling, Village also offers a counseling ministry with a professional, licensed psychologist, Dr. Dave Ehman. Widowers Support Group
A support group for men whose spouses have died, or whose spouses are living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. This group meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday mornings at Mission Campus. Twice a month the group is facilitated by one of the Pastoral Care pastors; other meetings are facilitated by members of the group. Contact Linda Alley. One-on-one care through Stephen Ministry
The Village Church Stephen Ministry program pairs people who are experiencing difficulties in their lives with specially trained members of the church who are equipped to listen, care for, and provide emotional and spiritual support. This one-to-one Christian care is confidential and available to church members and the wider community at no cost. Learn more about Stephen Ministry. Request prayer
Please submit your prayer requests so that your church family can include you in our prayers. Your or your loved one’s name will be included in our prayer list that is emailed out weekly. |
