ABOUT REVEREND ROBERT AND SHIRLEY MENEILLYThe Meneilly Center for Mission is named in honor of Dr. Bob Meneilly, founding pastor of Village Church, and his beloved wife, Shirley. “Deep in Dr. Bob’s soul is a commitment to mission,” said Rev. Tom Are, senior pastor of Village Church. “When you understand that the love of God placed in your life is not for your benefit alone, mission is the obvious fruit that results. You cannot talk about Village Church without talking about mission. I would suggest that there is no significant work of compassion or justice in this city that doesn’t have Dr. Bob’s fingerprints on it. So it is appropriate that the Center for Mission is named in honor of Dr. Bob and Shirley Meneilly."
