Community Garden
The Village Community Garden offers opportunities for individuals of all ages to participate in service work. Every growing season from March through October, the garden needs volunteers to plant, water, weed and harvest crops. All produce harvested from the garden is donated to the Village Food Pantry located on the same grounds as the garden. Let’s get our hands dirty! |
Prayer Labyrinth
In 2017, Village Church established a prayer labyrinth at the Meneilly Center for Mission campus. Situated on the west side of the campus near the Village Church Community Garden, parking is conveniently available close to the labyrinth. More information on the labyrinth and a prayer are in a mailbox at the labyrinth entrance. |
About Rev. Dr. Robert & Shirley Meneilly
The Meneilly Center for Mission is named in honor of Dr. Bob Meneilly, founding pastor of Village Church, and his beloved wife, Shirley. “Deep in Dr. Bob’s soul is a commitment to mission,” said Rev. Tom Are, Village Church co-pastor. “When you understand that the love of God placed in your life is not for your benefit alone, mission is the obvious fruit that results. You cannot talk about Village Church without talking about mission. I would suggest that there is no significant work of compassion or justice in this city that doesn’t have Dr. Bob’s fingerprints on it. So it is appropriate that the Center for Mission is named in honor of Dr. Bob and Shirley Meneilly."
