Sunday Morning Children’s Ministry
We offer a myriad of opportunities for kids and families to worship at Village. Kids are always welcome in the Sanctuary for worship! However, we know that hour can get long for little ones, so we offer activity bags to engage them during services. We also offer Sunday school (called The Lighthouse) during the 9 a.m. service from September through May. Kids explore the teachings of Jesus in fun and meaningful ways. We sing, make crafts, read Bible stories, chat and get to know each other. And we are so grateful to have professional musician Dino O’Dell on board as worship leader.

The Lighthouse
Come join us on Sunday mornings at The Lighthouse. We believe God is our ultimate light source. He lights our path even when the terrain is rocky and the waves are crashing. And he invites and encourages us to LET OUR LIGHT SHINE on the people around us.

K-6th Grade
Children will be grouped according to grade level with trained teachers each week using engaging curriculum. Bible lessons, songs, games and more help children to grow in their faith and learn the life-giving news of Jesus' love.
Curriculum by Augsburg Press, Sparkhouse Frolic and Whirl will allow children K-6th grades to follow the same Bible story in each class, so families can engage together and discuss lessons at home.

Morning Stars Children’s Music Program
Morning Stars is a comprehensive music and worship education program for children in Kindergarten through grade 6. Children who are enrolled in Morning Stars Choirs attend Lighthouse at 9 a.m. and then move directly to choir from 10-10:30 a.m.
There are two choirs: One choir for grades 3rd-6th, directed by Jenny Hull and Susan Nagel, and one choir for Kindergarten-2nd Grade, directed by Rebecca Enslow and Kate Beebe. Choirs will meet on the third floor of the education wing. Children will sing in worship periodically, and help serve as worship leaders as much as possible.
Morning Stars also has two other ways to be involved – in a beginning handchime ensemble that meets on select Sundays from 4-4:45 p.m., and two musicals (one at Christmas and one in the spring) that rehearse on select Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Contact Jenny Hull for more information and schedules.
