ENDOWMENT TRUST OVERVIEW
The Endowment Trust enriches the mission and ministries of Village Church, ensuring its extraordinary service now and toward God’s promised day.
The Village Presbyterian Church Endowment Trust is a non-profit foundation that enriches the church’s mission and ministries, funds new initiatives and leaves a legacy for future generations. It raises and manages funds to provide resources for the future and also supplements the Church’s stewardship contributions, providing almost 17% of the total budget in 2018.
The Endowment Trust has a general endowment fund and seven Legacy Funds. The board of the Endowment Trust invests these funds and carefully oversees the investment management so that your charitable gift continues to grow over time.
Each year, 5 percent of a 5 year rolling average is granted from each of the following Legacy Funds: Mission, Adult, Children, Youth and Family, Worship and Music, Food Pantry, Facilities, Seminars and our two new Endowment for Mission Legacy Funds, For the Least of These and First Decision. The Endowment Trusts also contributes each year to the Church's annual budget through the General Endowment Fund.
In 2012, the Endowment Trust introduced the Meneilly Society. The society recognizes an individual or couple who have named Village Presbyterian Church Endowment Trust as a beneficiary in their will, trust, life insurance policy or through another estate-related gift plan. These generous gifts ensure a bright future for our Church. If you have included Village Church in your estate plan, please contact Bob Sperry.
