Becoming a Love and Logic Parent
Back by popular demand! This parent training course is designed by the Love and Logic Institute, Inc. There will be video presentations by Jim Fay and Charles Fay, Ph.D., discussion, modeling, and providing examples of each skill. Did you ever wonder how to:
♥ end sibling bickering and fighting?
♥ help children resist peer pressure?
♥ avoid power struggles with your children?
♥ get children to do their chores?
Register now for workshops planned for April 2009 as follows:
•April 7 and 14 – workshops for parents of preschoolers … Come and have some fun learning some new techniques for how to handle temper tantrums, how to avoid power struggles, and how to have more fun parenting your preschooler!
•April 21 and 28 – workshops for parents of elementary children … Come and learn how to better prepare your child for the real world and how to have more fun parenting! You will learn several parenting techniques that are easy to implement and that will help you to have more energy left at the end of the day for yourself!
Led by Deborah L. Ricker, Ed.S, a School Psychologist for 11 years who also has been instructing Love and Logic courses for parents and educators for 7 years. Tuesdays, April 7, 14, 21 and 28. 6:30-8:00pm. Room 132.
Infant Massage
Attention: babies, parents and grandparents … babies love that “nurturing touch,” and adults
love to give it! Join us for a session of infant massage where you can practice techniques with your baby and learn about the long-lasting benefits of a nurturing touch. Class size is limited to 7 babies (birth to 9 months). Please bring a blanket and lotion. Taught by Mary Anne Demerritt. Please CHOOSE ONE session: Wednesday, April 22, OR Wednesday, May 13. 10:00-11:00am. Room 133.
