Village University School of Theology

An advanced studies program for those wanting more in-depth biblical & theological study than regular Village U courses offer. The School of Theology gives you the chance to learn from some of the leading seminary professors of our time, without having to go to seminary! If you want to dig deeply into biblical interpretation and modern theological thought, the Village U School of Theology may be for you. Classes will be challenging, and are a wonderful opportunity to substantially enrich and deepen your biblical & theological knowledge. All (members as well as non-members of Village Church) are welcome to enroll in any or all of the classes offered. Fees for the School of Theology are different than for Village U. Registration per course is $75 per person or $125 per couple. The fall 2008 course is entitled “Old Testament” and is available for enrollment.

This course will provide a "sampling" of Old Testament texts—exploring them in their literary, social-historical, and theological contexts—and considering how the Old Testament is in itself a rich   and vital resource for Christian faith, proclamation, and mission. Taught by Dr. Christine Yoder, Professor of Old Testament at Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta via live video feed.
