Mission Sewing

Mission Sewing is an ongoing ministry of Village Church, providing support and direct assistance to area programs that serve the homeless and children, among many other organizations. 

Attention Knitters and Sewers: Thanks to all who have responded to our plea for help. Now it's time to knit all of those cute little Christmas hats for the babies. We have the red, green and white yarn for you to pick up. We also need winter hats and mittens and scarves ready for delivery the 3rd week of Nov. since we close shop the month of December. We have a request for knitted or crocheted afghans for cancer patients. They are large, 48 X 48 or 48 X 60. These take a considerable amount of yarn and if you are looking for a worthwhile place to make a donation, we are very low on yarn for these items. We also need nice soft yarn suitable for baby hats.

At home sewers and cutters are important. If you would like to pick up patterns and fabric to do at home, we will be glad to supply you with what ever you need. Call Edie Hultman, 913 432 3515 for more information or stop in the sewing room 115, on any Tues. from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

The group meets each Tuesday at the church, 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. in the Sewing Room.
