It's easy to sign up for http://www.elabelsforeducation.com/ which offers immediate credit and bonus points to Menaul School

Just go to the above website and register your shopper's card from your local supermarket.

Be sure to indicate that Menaul School, Albuquerque, New Mexico is to receive credit for your purchases.

Mary Lou Neibling has reported that we are close to reaching the 1000 mark with the Best Choice Bar Codes!   We have also collected $41.60 in General Mills Box Tops and sent 335 Campbells Bar Codes to Menaul School this year.

Thank you for keeping the kids in your thoughts when you shop and tear off! A little means a lot!

“Make My Day”

There's only one thing Mary Lou Niebling likes better then basketball and football and that'sMary Lou Niebling clipping bar codes from Best Choice food products and Campbells products and box tops from General Mills products while she's watching basketball and football! When you shop, remember Mary Lou and the many students we touch at Menaul School in Albuquerque, New Mexico with this special ministry. It will MAKE THEIR DAY too! Collection sites are at the north entrance on the food pantry shelves and at the main desk at the south entrance.

Keep Saving Labels: PW of Village Church encourages you to save labels from grocery items. It's easy to do and only takes a few minutes of your time! The Menual School, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is the recipient of the labels. Please clip Best Choice Bar Codes(bar code area from any Best Choice Product), Box Tops for Education (symbol found on any General Mills product), Campbell's Bar Codes ("Labels for Education" bar code with the little logo). We appreciate your thoughtfulness and timeliness - often the Box Tops have an expiration date. Labels can be placed in the PW Office (just put them through the door slot if the office is locked), or with the church receptionist, or at the south entrance, or at the north doors on the Food Pantry shelves.

Memorial Reception Guild Members Needed: If you've ever been to a Memorial Service at Village Church, then you most likely know about the special volunteers that provide the comforting and welcoming reception that follows. These events give family and friends a chance to support one another in a relaxed and loving environment.  It is a ministry that lightens a family's burden during one of their darkest hours.

We are actively seeking additional members for the Reception Guild. This process usually takes about 2 hours of your time from set up to break down. It is not difficult work, and is very rewarding. Everything you need is at your fingertips in the Village kitchen. As soon as a service is scheduled a Guild Leader is notified and begins calling the volunteers. If you're available that day, great. If not, the Guild Leader will call the next volunteer on the list. The more volunteers and leaders we have, the more flexibility everyone has. If you would like to volunteer as a Reception Guild Member or Leader, please contact Sandy Perry, 913.671.2327 or e-mail for more information.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Yarn

Mission Sewing has a request for knitted or crocheted afghans for cancer patients. They are large, 48 X 48 or 48 X 60. These take a considerable amount of yarn and if you are looking for a worthwhile place to make a donation, we are very low on yarn for these items. We also need nice soft yarn suitable for baby hats.  Please label your donation with "Mission Sewing" and leave at the church switchboard.

PW Lending Library: Have you read any good books lately? How about donating them to the PW Lending Library located behind the door in the PW Office (first floor). All PW members are welcome to check out books from the PW Lending Library at anytime!

Mission Sewing: Mission Sewing continues to stay busy with new requests. Village Church is blessed to have so many talented individuals. Fabric and yarn are always needed and patterns and projects are available in the Sewing Room (115) for work at home. We work every Tuesday and welcome visitors. Call Edie Hultman, 913.432.3515, for more information. Donations are welcome.

Additional Reception Desk Volunteers: Volunteer receptionists are needed to assist with greeting people and answering phones at the reception desk at Village Church. If you can help, please call Mary Cashin, 913.671.2342.
