Nurturing Faith • Engaging in Mission • Working for Justice and Peace
Dear PW Friends,
Living, loving and growing in our faith continues to be our theme this year, and we will have two tremendous opportunities to do just that within the next few weeks.
First is our annual Woman of Faith event on February 18th. We have an exceptional speaker, Dr. Cynthia Rigby, and we’ll get to hear about and from our honorees - Judy Cooper our Woman of Faith, and our Lifetime Membership honorees Nancy Cantril, Ruth Johnson, and Reverend Meg Peery McLaughlin. These women will absolutely energize you.
This year’s Visiting Scholar event is in honor of Julie M. Lee. Julie was a warm, talented, fun, intelligent, flat-out amazing woman. She was our moderator just a few short years ago. Julie, fueled by her desire for others to be able to hear and learn from renowned theological speakers, started our Visiting Scholar program. I am grateful for her vision and her gift, which is such an inspiring legacy. Come and hear Brian McLaren on March 9 and 10.
