Sunday Mornings
Kids’ Kingdom
- A rotational workshop model of Sunday Church School for grades K-5th at the 9:30 worship service hour.
- Biblical themes are taught for 5-week rotations, using experiential learning techniques.
- Children rotate with their grade level to a new adventure each week.
- K-5th grades meet in Rooms 307-309-311 for opening and then are dismissed to their rotational room.
- Grade levels are usually divided into smaller groups. Each group has a “shepherd” who greets them each week and travels with them to their rotation.
- A chart located on the 2nd and 3rd floors is available for parents to note where they will find their child at the end of the hour.
Kids’ Kingdom Rotations
Creation Station
Room 201
Children will create something that will symbolize the Bible story of the day.

Eat Your Way Through the Bible
Room 204
Children will learn about foods of the Bible and will make a food that emphasizes the scripture and Bible story for the unit.

Eight computers will be available for children to use. Software has been purchased from Sunday School Software to enhance the Bible story.

Who Wants to Be a Bible Scholar?
Room 301
In this room the children will not only learn to use their Bibles, but will seek to locate where the story took place. Games will be used to support the learning of the Bible story.

Gracious Space
Room 302
The spirituality center will teach intrapersonal learning to our children. After receiving instruction, they will explore a theme through prayer, journaling, music listening, guided reflection, and thinking about their relationship with God, with others, with the world.

Temple Tales
Room 303
The telling of the story may be from the viewpoint of a Biblical character and told in first person, or by the use of a variety of puppet characters.

Paradise Pictures
Room 304
Children will see a video or movie of the Bible story. The leader will then lead the children in a discussion of the story. POPCORN is available each week!

KKVC 27 Newsroom
Room 305
The newsroom will be an active rotation, discovering stories as they happen. On the street reporters, weather person, and news anchors will seek out and report the “news” story of the day.

Mary & Martha’s Bed and Breakfast
Room 306
This room represents a place of hospitality where children learn about the culture of the day in which the story took place.

Holy Rock and Rollin’
Rooms 307-309-311
Action happens here! The children will explore both movement and music coordinated with the unit theme.

Village Players
Room 310
The atmosphere of the drama room encourages the children to be transformed into the place of the Bible story. Children will have access to costuming and props as they walk in the shoes of the Biblical characters
