Welcome!
Children have been seen as a vital part of Village Church since its beginning. Every effort is made to include children in planning for our church family. It is our intention to help children grow in the knowledge of the goodness of God's love, as expressed in the person of Jesus Christ until the time that they claim the faith as their own.
Upcoming Events
The children will be collecting seed packets (vegetable and flower) on Sundays, April 13 and 20, in celebration of Earth Day. The packets will be given to the Front Porch Alliance / Ivanhoe Neighborhood for neighborhood gardens.
6th graders will be presented teen Bibles at the close of Kids’ Kingdom on May 18th and go through the tunnel to the youth area.
Teacher appreciation will be Sunday, June 1, with pancakes by Chris Cakes, served between 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Teachers will be mailed complimentary tickets.
Sunday Morning Church School
Kids’ Kingdom and Preschool church school classes:
9:30am-10:30am. Elementary children enjoy eleven rotational classes. Bible stories are taught in 5-week units through kid-friendly multimedia workshops. Preschool Classes meet in first floor classrooms and signs will direct you. The curriculum is Bible-based and is designed to make God’s word relevant to young children.
Kids’ Konnection all grades church school classes:11:00am-12:00pm. Preschoolers gather in 106; and elementary children will gather in 201-203 to focus on stewardship (fall), mission (winter), and worship (spring).

Childcare/Nursery
Childcare is offered Sunday mornings and for most church-sponsored programs by trained caregivers. Call the department sponsoring the program to make reservations or the Child Care Department for additional information at 913-671-2322. A Kids' Day Out program is offered on Thursdays from 9:30am-2:30pm.
